The Bay County Sheriff's Office Records Section is supervised by Becky Johns, a 24 year employee with the Bay county Sheriffs Office.

This section is responsible for the day to day processing of all reports. This section is also responsible for the dissemination of report requests from other law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and the public.

Records embarked on a mission to digitize all records in 2005. To date, they have converted over 1,703,460 pages of paper to a digitized format. The three employees assigned to this unit handle this continuing task along with hundreds of records request daily.

In addition, requests for local background checks are handled by this section as well as judicial orders for the sealing and expungment of records.
