Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office would like to announce the annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. The run helps to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics.


The run will take place April 3 at 9 A.M. and will be approximately 3.5 miles long beginning at the Publix on Highway 77. The runners will move as a group down one lane of Highway 77 and turn up 23 Street, ending at the Publix there. The torch will be passed around during the run.


All runners must purchase an official shirt to participate. The shirts will be available from 8-9 A.M. in the 77 Publix parking lot.


A bus will be in the 23 Street Publix parking lot to take runners back to their cars.
