Callaway Couple Arrested After Fleeing

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Callaway couple on warrants after they fled on foot from deputies.

The BCSO Warrants investigators located Kevin Duane Custer, age 29, at his residence at 418 N. Comet Avenue, in Callaway. Custer was wanted on multiple outstanding felony warrants. As deputies approached Custer, he fled in his girlfriend’s vehicle. Brittney Nicole Wilson, age 28, was in the vehicle when Custer fled.

Custer rammed into two Warrant’s investigator’s vehicles as he attempted to flee, and attempted to ram into a third but found himself boxed in a backyard and unable to drive away any further. Custer then fled on foot, leading investigators on a foot chase for about 500 yards. He was then taken into custody without incident. 

Warrants investigators discovered Custer was in possession of a firearm, and a large amount of methamphetamine. Custer was arrested on five outstanding warrants for Robbery with a Firearm, Aggravated Battery by Strangulation, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, Possession of Drug Related Paraphernalia, and VOP–Count. 1: Aggravated Battery, Count 2: Possession of Heroin, Count 3: Possession of a Controlled Substance. 


Custer now faces additional charges of Aggravated Battery on Law Enforcement Officer X 2, Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer, Introduction of Contraband in County Detention Facility, Trafficking Methamphetamine more than 28 Grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Marijuana Less Than 20 Grams X 2, Possession of Drug Related Paraphernalia, and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.

Also arrested was Brittany Nicole Wilson on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine more than 28 grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams, and Possession of Drug Related Paraphernalia.
