Four and a Half Pounds of Crystal Meth Seized

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two in connection to a drug seizure including four and a half pounds of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of over $100,000 and about $7000 in cash.

On February 20th, 2019, the Bay County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Division served a search warrant at a condo on Panama City Beach.  When Investigators entered, occupants Caleb Adams and Sidney Miles were attempting to destroy drug evidence by flushing crystal methamphetamine down the kitchen sink. 

During the search of the condo, investigators found multiple pounds of crystal methamphetamine hidden in different areas.  Total weight was approximately 4.5 pounds.  Also seized was a small amount of heroin, a large quantity of xanax pills, and approximately $7000 in US currency. 

  

Adams is currently on Felony Probation for previous drug and weapon charges.  Both Adams and Miles now face trafficking charges because of the amount of crystal meth seized. If convicted, they face penalties of a capital felony.   

Caleb M. Adams, age 26, was arrested on charges of Trafficking More Than 400 grams of Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax With the Intent to Distribute, Tampering with Evidence and Manufacture of Drug Paraphernalia. Sydney L Miles, age 26, was arrested on charges of Trafficking More Than 400 grams of Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax With the Intent to Distribute,  Possession of Heroin, Tampering with Evidence, and Manufacture of Drug Paraphernalia.
