The Bay County Sheriff's Office announced today the arrest of five individuals believed responsible for a home invasion robbery. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 3605 East Orlando Avenue in Panama City.
After investigating the incident, BCSO Criminal investigators believe the victim connected recently with a woman through a mobile app called Tinder that is often used as a dating site. The woman, indentified as Kaitlin Masini, knew Jessica Bautista. According to Bautista, Masini told her that the victim would sell her marijuana.
Bautista stated she bought an amount of marijuana from the victim. After the transaction, Ms. Bautista got upset when she realized the victim had not provided the agreed upon amount. In retaliation, Ms. Bautista devised a plan to rob the victim and arranged to borrow Masini’s vehicle so her son and two of his friends could commit the home invasion robbery.
Investigators served a search warrant at Ms. Bautista's residence located at 1002 Kurze Avenue in Panama City. A large amount of illegal narcotics, money, firearms, and items taken from the victim’s residence were collected and seized from the residence. All five of the individuals involved were taken into custody and transported to the Bay County Jail.
Jessica A. Bautista, age 42, was arrested and charged with Principal in the First Degree to Home Invasion Robbery, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, three counts of Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription, and Possession of Marijuana.
Antonio A. Bautista, age 18, was charged with Home Invasion Robbery.
O'Shea G. Williams, age 21, was charged with Home Invasion Robbery.
Keon L. McNeil, age 19, was charged with Home Invasion Robbery, Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement, Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear.
Kaitlin M. Masini, 23 years-of-age, was charged with Principal in the First Degree to Home Invasion Robbery.
The investigation continues and additional charges may be filed at a later date.
