The Criminal Investigations Division is under the command of Captain Ricky Ramie. Captain Ramie is a nineteen year veteran of the Bay County Sheriff's Office. He has served in the capacity of Patrol Deputy, Investigator, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Narcotics Commander and Field Services Commander.

The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for investigating all major crimes.  There are 15 Criminal Investigators assigned to the division and four Crime Scene Investigators
