                                                           Woman Arrested For Child Abuse

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) contacted the Bay County Sheriffs Office in reference to a report of abuse on a child.

The alleged incident occurred on April 1, 2007. Jayme Coe, DOB 9-21-77, of 7626 Whisperwood Road, Panama City, had an altercation with a child in which she is believed to have beaten the child with a plastic coat hanger, slapped and punched her in the face, and dragged the child by her hair.

DCF conducted the investigation and after verifying the incident, called the Bay County Sheriffs Office. Ms. Coe was arrested today and taken to the Bay County Jail.
