Investigation Turns Up Two Victims

A joint investigation with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Bay County Sheriffs Office has ended with the arrest of Franklin Delano Johnson on charges of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and the discovery of an additional victim.

After one victim came forward to DCF and filed a complaint, an investigation was opened to look into the allegations. The initial complaint stated the molestation began when the victim was under the age of 12. The victim stated Johnson watched her take showers, often insisting on bathing her and that numerous incidents of molestation continued up until a few weeks agoa total of 7 years.

During the investigation, another victim came forward with similar complaints against Johnson. Investigators are looking into these allegations involving the second victim. This second victim stated she was 16 at the time of the incident.

Johnson was arrested today and taken to the Bay County Jail.
