                                                    Man Arrested For Stalking

David Ethan Kopko, DOB 9-13-63, last known address 2026 Hinson Avenue, was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, after, investigators believe, was months of harassment directed towards an ex-girlfriend.

The Bay County Sheriffs Office was called out to a residence on Panama City Beach after a friend of the victim called 911 and stated she had been on the phone with the victim and overheard Kopko break into a bedroom of the home they shared and threaten physical harm. Deputies responded to the call. The victim obtained an injunction against Kopko and he was forced to move out of the shared residence.

During the summer, Kopko violated the injunction on several occasions by attempting to visit the victim and by August had moved into a residence within 500 feet of the victims home. Investigators believe the numerous instances of criminal mischief that then began to occur on the victims property were done by Kopko. Kopko also made many harassing phone calls to the victim.

Kopko was arrested and charged with Aggravated Stalking, a felony.
