July 11, 2006 Ruth Sasser, PAS For Immediate Release 747-4700, ext. 2117 Caught on Video Bay County Sheriffs Office investigators are asking for help in the identification of two individuals they believe snatched a purse on Saturday, June 8, 2006, and then charged about $800.00 on one of the stolen credit cards. While walking in the parking lot of the K-Mart on Hwy 98 and Thomas Drive on Panama City Beach, a local woman had her purse snatched by a person driving a light green Altima. The vehicle sped off traveling north on Wildwood Road towards Sunrise Drive. Later that day, at about 7:30 pm, a man and a woman purchased approximately eight hundred dollars in items at a local WalMart using the victims credit card. The next day, Sunday, July 9, 2006, another purchase was attempted at Pineapple Willies, a restaurant on Panama City Beach. The card was refused, having been reported stolen the night before. The couple was caught on video at WalMart while making their purchase.
